Description

This is a timber-framed building, likely dating from the 17th century or earlier, which was later refronted in the 18th century. It has a steeply pitched tiled roof with a small brick stack at the south end of number 2, and a taller rendered stack between numbers 3 and 4. Number 4 has a slightly higher frontage, featuring a sash window inserted on the first floor. The building is two storeys high. Number 3 is rendered, while numbers 2 and 4 have been cemented. Number 2 has a two-light casement window above, and a sliding sash window with a square head on the ground floor. Number 3 features a small sash window with a flush box set within a segmental heading. Number 4 has larger sash windows, the lower one in a segmental heading. Each property has a four-panelled door, with the top two panels recessed and glazed. Number 2's door is within a wooden frame topped with an entablature and cornice. Number 3’s door sits within shallow reveals and a rectangular pediment. Number 4's doorway is distinguished by a stepped architrave, an entablature with a dentilled course, and a rectangular pediment above. This building has group value, contributing to the character of the area.
