Description
This is a row of 18th-century cottages located on the north side of East Pallant. The cottages have tiled gabled roofs and brick stacks, with two on the ridge and two positioned further forward. Dormer windows are visible behind the roofline. The eastern gable end is tile-hung, while the western gable end has a plastered finish.
The main facade is two storeys high and constructed of red brick, featuring a small brick dentilled eaves cornice. There are six two-light casement windows on each floor. These windows have frames above and below the glazing, with the lower windows set in slightly segmental arches defined by brick voussoirs. Nos. 9 and 12 have wooden boarded doors, while Nos. 10, 11, 13, and 14 have modern four-panelled doors with the two upper panels cut away and glazed. The doors are set in shallow reveals with moulded frames, topped by rectangular pediments.
