Description
East Pallant House, which serves as the Chichester Rural District Council Offices, is a two-storey building with seven windows, located on the south side of East Pallant. The front of the building faces east and features a large double bow front with three large windows on each side of the entrance. The exterior is finished in stucco and includes a cornice with moulding below and a parapet. The doorway is adorned with Doric columns, a pediment, and a semi-circular fanlight with Gothic divisions, although the door itself is modern.
To the west, there is a large 19th-century red brick addition, while a recent addition is located to the south. The addition to the north features a large three-sided canted bay with facets of unequal size that project through two storeys; it has one sash window in each facet on the ground floor and one sash window in the centre above. This section is cemented. Behind this, an attic storey of another higher addition is visible. Further north, there is another two-storey addition with one window bay that includes a sash window above and below, also cemented.
