Description

Primrose Cottage and Rose Cottage is a low, oblong range of three cottages located on the north side of Bersted Street in South Bersted. The central cottage, No 2, is dated 1726 above the door, while the eastern cottage, No 3, is likely a later addition. Cottages Nos 1 and 2 are constructed from sandstone rubble with red brick dressings, whereas No 3 is made of cobbles. The cottages feature a thatched roof and have modern casement windows, except for one sash window on the ground floor of No 2. The building stands two storeys tall, with six windows above and five below.
