Description

The Old Cricketers and Cricketers Cottage is a former inn that has been converted into a shop with a house attached. It dates back to the 16th century but was encased in the mid-18th century. The building features a timber frame with a brick exterior and a plain tile mansard roof, which has a central ridge stack and an end stack on the right side. It is two storeys tall with an attic, and has flat roof dormers along with a dentil band at the eaves.

On the first floor, there are four casement windows, two of which are blocked, with one bay in from each end. The ground floor windows are made of plate glass and have cambered heads, except for the window on the right end. There are two doors leading to the shop, positioned left and right of the centre, and a door to the cottage on the right end, which is located under a pent roof porch supported by wooden posts. The rear of the building has 20th-century extensions.
