Description
The Midland Bank is a modern, single-storey brick building dating from the 20th century, situated on a stone plinth with a stone string at cill level and a stone cornice. It features five tall windows with keystones and a six-panel door on the left side, set in a stone surround that includes a cornice and a segmental pediment supported by console brackets. An additional storey has been added in a similar style to the ground floor. Although this is a reproduction from the 18th century, it is included in the listing due to its group value with nearby buildings, including Nos 31 and 32, and Nos 35, 36, and 37 The Borough. The entire front of the Bush Hotel and Nos 29 to 44 (consecutive) also form a cohesive group.
