Description

The Stocks and Whipping Post is an 18th-century structure located on Rosemary Lane in Alfold. It features wooden stocks designed for two people, accompanied by a whipping post at the right end, which is sheltered under a slatted wood roof supported by braced end posts. The area is enclosed by a railed surround with wooden angle posts and ground plates. Iron manacles are attached to the top of the post. This structure is part of a charming group of features surrounding the Church.
