Description
Church Cottage, now divided, is a house dating from the 17th century. It features a timber frame with whitewashed brick infill and cladding below, and tile hanging above, some arranged in alternate bands of fishscale pattern. The building has two storeys, with corbelled ridge stacks located to the left of centre and an over-sailing gable to the right, along with additional stacks at the rear. There is a gable end cross wing that extends back a considerable distance to the left and a wing at right angles to the rear right. The windows are leaded wood-framed casements with diamond panes and old glass on the first floor to the left, while 20th-century glass is used elsewhere. There is one first-floor window in the centre and a gabled dormer to the right. The ground floor features four windows, a part-glazed door to the left, and another door to the right. This building is part of a picturesque group around the Church.
