Description

The Stocks and Whipping Post is a set of historical features located on Church Lane in Ufford. Dating from the 18th or 19th century, it is made of painted oak and wrought iron. The stocks are designed to hold three pairs of legs and have iron bindings along their edges. Behind the stocks stands a square whipping post topped with a domed cap, featuring iron manacles on either side, each equipped with three wrist bindings. This structure is included for its group value context.
