Description
No. 5 Church Lane is a 17th-century house built of Flemish bond brick with a plain tile roof, standing two storeys tall. The entrance front is colourwashed brick and features three bays. On the ground floor, there is a 19th-century door with four lower raised and fielded panels and two upper glazed panels. To the left of the door are two cambered-headed two-light windows, while to the right were originally two similar windows; however, the far right window has been blocked. A band of three bricks in depth runs between the floors. On the first floor, there are three cross-windows, with the right bay being blank. At the ridge, slightly right of centre, is an axial chimney stack with a rectangular base and four octagonal flues, all of which were rebuilt in the 19th century. The interior has not been inspected.
