Description

Nos 57 and 59 Abbey Street are a pair of 19th-century, two-storey cottages made of brick, standing on a projecting plinth with a hipped old tile roof and a central chimney. Each cottage features one window that is four panes wide, topped with a painted stucco arch. The entrance consists of a flush four-panel door located in the outer corner, which has a projecting brick surround and a flat hood above. These cottages are part of a group that includes the listed buildings in Bridge Square, Firgrove Hill on the west side, and Red Lion Lane on the northwest side.
