Description

The garden wall to Old Roof along Red Lion Lane dates from the 18th century and later. The left end of the wall is constructed from red brick, which sits on a slightly projecting brick plinth and features red brick coping that ramps up towards the house. The middle section is made of ironstone rubble on a brick plinth, likely indicating a rebuild. To the right, there is a wall made of brick only, with some modern patching. A segmental-headed entrance leads down to an underground passage. This listed building is part of a group that includes other structures on Figrove Hill, Bridge Square, Red Lion Lane, and Nos 57 and 59 Abbey Street.
