Description

Pitfield Cottage is an early to mid 19th century building, possibly consisting of two separate structures. It stands two storeys high and is constructed from clunch rubble, featuring red brick quoins at both ends and to the left of the centre. The roof is hipped and covered with modern tiles.

The left part of the cottage has one window bay and a door, with a two-light casement window above, both featuring small panes. There is a segmental-headed ledged door at the left end. The right part has two window bays and a central door, with two-light casement windows, also with small panes.

Pitfield Cottage is listed as Grade II for its group value, as it forms a group with Vinersmead and Colemans.
