Description

Vinersmead, also known as "Sunset," is a house with a modern addition to its street frontage, while the older part of the house is situated to the east. The core of the house dates from the 16th to 17th centuries and is timber-framed. The south-western facing elevation of this original section has been clad in brick. It is two storeys high with two windows and a hip roof at the right-hand end. The windows are modern, leaded casements. A ledged door is set within a frame, topped by an old, moulded flat hood supported by cut brackets. To the east of this section is a single window bay with a rough-cast pebble-dash finish. Timber framing is visible in the passage and in the south-west room. The house is designated a Grade II listed building due to its timber-framed core. It forms a group with Pitfueld Cottage and Colemans.
