1-3 Pierrepont Farm Cottages And Attached Milking Parlour At Pierrepont Farm

1-3 Pierrepont Farm Cottages and the attached milking parlour at Pierrepont Farm are farm cottages dating from the 18th century, with the milking parlour built in the early to mid-19th century. The cottages are constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and feature a hipped tiled roof with two renewed brick chimneystacks. The front elevation, which faces away from the farmyard, is two storeys high with five windows. It has cambered wooden casements with leaded lights and cambered headed doorcases. There is a modillion eaves cornice and a band between the floors. The end bay is set back and seems to have been added later, although the brickwork matches the other four bays.

The rear elevation, facing the farmyard, includes a projecting two-storey hipped roof projection with a blocked cambered headed doorcase and a later corner porch. Attached to the rear is the early to mid-19th century milking parlour, built of Bargate stone rubble with red brick dressings and a hipped tiled roof. It features casement windows and wide doorways, with rounded corners at the base to prevent damage from carts. The cottages and milking parlour remain externally unaltered and are part of a notable farm group.
