Description
The cow byres at Pierrepont Farm date from the early to mid 19th century. The sides that face away from the milking parlour are constructed of ironstone rubble with brick dressings, while the side facing the milking parlour is made of red brick in stretcher bond. The building is single-storey and features wide door openings and casement windows. Inside, there are kingposts and through purlins. These cow byres have seen little alteration and are purpose-built using traditional materials, forming part of a well-preserved farm group.
