Former Grain Store At Pierrepont Farm

The former grain store at Pierrepont Farm is a building from the early to mid 19th century. It is located facing the farm track and is constructed of two storeys of Bargate stone rubble with red brick dressings. The corners of the building are rounded to prevent damage from carts. There are four windows, with the first floor windows being blocked and the ground floor featuring cambered casements. A central doorcase is accessed via stone steps. The ends of the building have Bargate stone ground floors and are weatherboarded above, with hoist doors leading to the upper floor. The roof is gabled and covered with slate, and there are two narrower ranges with Bargate stone ends and party walls, along with weatherboarded gables. Inside, the central range has a queenpost roof, and the building serves as a large purpose-built grain store, forming part of a group of farm buildings.
