Description
The cow byre, located approximately 10 metres to the north-west of Low Farmhouse, dates from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of rubble with a stone slate roof and has two storeys and two bays. The building features quoins and a central board door set in an ashlar surround, which has bases and interrupted jambs. To the left of the door is a small barred window, while there are no openings on the first floor. At the rear, there is a first-floor board pitching door in a flush dressed-stone surround. On the right side, there are ashlar surrounds to two doorways, one of which has been partially blocked to create a window.
