Description

Limekiln Farmhouse, now a house, dates from the early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble with a stone slate roof. The farmhouse is two storeys high, with a rear outshut, and has three first-floor windows. It features quoins. A part-glazed board door sits between the first and second bays, set within an ashlar surround featuring bases and impost blocks. Most windows are double-chamfered with side-sliding sashes, although two ground-floor windows to the right of the front door have different sashes. Chimneys are located at the ends of the building and between the second and third bays. A single-storey lean-to has been added to the right, set back from the main structure and not considered to be of special architectural interest. On the right return side, a part-glazed door is present in a surround matching that of the front door.
