Description
Stable Cottage is a stable and coach-house that has been converted into a cottage. It dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. The building is constructed of coursed rubble and features a stone slate roof. It has two storeys and three openings on the first floor. The corners of the building are marked by quoins.
On the ground floor, from left to right, there is a board door set in an ashlar surround with interrupted jambs, a segmental-arched coach opening that has been converted into a window, a 20th-century part-glazed door also in an ashlar surround with interrupted jambs, and a sash window in an ashlar surround. The first floor contains sash windows in their original ashlar surrounds, with a flush sill band in the center. A ridge stack is located between the first and second first-floor windows.
