Description

76 Ockford Road is a late 18th-century to early 19th-century house that has been altered in the 20th century and is now divided into two dwellings. The house is built of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a plain tile roof. It is two storeys high and originally three bays wide. The central doorway has six flush panels, with the top four panels now glazed, set within a wooden architrave featuring panelled pilasters, an entablature with a dentilled cornice, and a triangular pediment. A 20th-century door has been inserted at the right end, with a flat brick arch. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, each set within a flat brick arch and with projecting sills. There is a dentilled eaves detail and a hipped roof with two chimney stacks to the rear.
