Description
Rosehill is a house, now divided into two dwellings, dating from the early 19th century and subsequently altered. The exterior is built of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with ashlar stone dressings, and has a 20th-century cement-tile roof. The house is three storeys high and comprises three bays. It features a plinth and large quoins. The central entrance has a six-panelled door and a fanlight with radial glazing bars, set within a painted, elliptically-arched brick surround. A round-arched doorway has been inserted on the right side. All windows are 20th-century casements, set within the original window openings, and feature projecting stone sills and flat arches. The second-floor windows are shorter and have keystones. A moulded eaves cornice runs along the top of the building, with a truncated end stack on the left and a brick end stack on the right. The rear elevation is painted and partly cement-rendered, and includes a central, round-headed stair-window. Inside No. 91, the original hallway and staircase remain, including a plastered basket arch at the foot of the staircase, a simple staircase with stick balusters, and six-panel doors within reeded architraves.
