Description

The Chestnuts is a late 18th-century house, altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a concrete pantiled roof, brick coped gables, and two brick gable stacks. The two-storey, three-bay front has a central 20th-century six-panel door with a plain overlight, flanked by single tripartite sash windows. Above are three similar windows. All window and door openings have cambered brick arches. The rear of the house has a catslide roof extending over an outshot.
