Description

This building is a barn that has been converted into a school hall, located at High Upfold Farmhouse. It dates from the early 18th century and features a timber frame set on a plinth of sandstone rubble. The exterior is clad in weatherboarding and topped with a plain tiled half-hipped roof. There are opposing wagon entries that have been glazed in with double doors, and the structure consists of five framed bays. Inside, the roof has a queen strut clasped purlin design and diagonal wall bracing, with a dais built into one end. There are 20th-century extensions that are not considered to be of special interest.
