Description

Valentines Wine Bar is a house that has been converted into a wine bar. It dates from the 17th century, with additions and alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building features a timber frame with fishscale tile hanging above and a rendered and timbered ground floor. It has plain tiled roofs and stands two storeys high with parallel ranges facing the street.

On the left side of the two ranges, there is a corbelled stack. The left gable has one tall diamond-pane attic window, while the right gable has a louvred attic opening. Below, there are three 3-light diamond-pane windows. The ground floor projects with a flat roof and includes an angle bay to the left, along with a plate glass window above rendered stall risers that have festoon decoration. To the right, between the windows, there is a half-glazed door set in a splay-sided recess, and another door is located to the left.
