Description
This building, known as Newton, is a Grade II listed house that dates back to the 17th century. It has a timber frame with brick cladding, featuring red and blue bricks on the left side and roughcast on the right. The house has moulded board eaves and a plain tiled roof, which includes a ridge stack on the left and a front stack on the right.
The structure is two storeys tall with an attic, topped by a gabled dormer on the right. The first floor has three metal casement windows, while the ground floor features a cambered head window on the left. The entrance to No. 71 Newton is a four-panel door that is accessed by a flight of three steps and is sheltered by a flat porch hood supported by brackets. To the right of centre, No. 73 has a half-glazed, leaded door. At the rear, there is a rendered parallel range with a 20th-century glazed extension on the right.
