Description
The Sheiling Cottage is a house from the 17th century that was extended in the 1970s. The right side features a timber frame, while the front has galleted coursed stone cladding with brick dressings below and red brick infill above, creating square panel framing. The left side of the extension is made of brick and rubblestone. The roof is plain tiled, with a ridge stack on the left and an end stack on the right. The cottage has two storeys and two framed bays on the right, with a gable front extension on the left. Throughout the building, there are diamond pattern leaded casement windows. The right side of the gable front extension has a ribbed door. On the right-hand return front, there is rubblestone below and tile hanging above. Inside, some framing is visible, mainly in the ceiling frames.
