Description
Pond House is a house that dates from the 16th century at the rear and has an early 19th-century front. The rear is timber framed and has exposed framing on the return fronts, with whitewashed brick and render infill. The front features roughcast cladding on a rendered plinth to the left. The building has a parallel range of plain tiled roofs that step down to the rear and are hipped to the right, with a hipped plain tiled roof over a lower extension at the right end.
The house is two storeys tall with a regular facade, featuring an end stack to the right, a front end stack to the left, and a square ridge stack to the left of centre on the rear range. There are three glazing bar sash windows across the first floor, with the outer windows being tripartite, and three windows below. The central panelled door has glazed top panels and is situated under a fanlight within an Ionic column portico, with rear columns attached to the wall.
To the right end, there is a single storey extension that is set back and has two small casement windows. The rear of the house has four framed bays with exposed framing and mixed casement fenestration.
