Description
The Manor Cottage is an 18th-century cottage that was extended in the late 18th century and 19th century. It is built of dun-colored brick with red brick angle quoins and dressings, topped with slate roofs. The cottage has a double pile plan and stands two storeys high, featuring end stacks that are corbelled on top and adorned with decorative terracotta pots. Originally, there were three windows, but a bay has been added to the left side. The eaves board is present, and there are three plate glass sash windows on the first floor, each set under gauged brick heads. On the ground floor, there are two sash windows in nearly flush boxes. To the left, there is a half-glazed door in a quoined surround, also under a gauged brick head. The left extension has one window on each floor, with the ground floor window set under a harsh red brick head. The right-hand return front, facing Manor Lane, features two gable ends, each with one window on the first floor and a half-glazed door below. There is a third gable that projects to the left.
