Description

Castle Hill Farm Dairy is a 19th-century farm dairy located in Egham, Englefield Green. It is a single-storey structure with red brick walls and a plinth. The building features a steeply pitched pyramidal roof, which is adorned with alternating bands of plain and fishscale clay tiles. The octagonal plan is supported by eight slender cast-iron columns that have barley-sugar twist shafts and gothic capitals. Atop the roof is a small tiled fleche over a wooden louvred turret. Additionally, similar columns support a pitched tiled roof that creates an open link with the farm buildings to the south. At the time of the survey, the openings were boarded up.
