Description
Castle Hill Stable Block is an early 19th-century stable and gardener's complex located in Englefield Green. It is constructed from pale yellow brick and features slate roofs. The building is arranged around a courtyard, with extensive greenhouses situated to the south.
The entrance front includes a central gateway with a two-centred arch and a loft door above it. There is a large gable adorned with barge boards and moulded brick corbels beneath. On either side of the entrance, there are windows also featuring two-centred arches. The roof is gabled and slopes parallel to the road. To the right, there is a lower single-storey wing with a hipped roof, and a similar wing to the left includes a small dormer window.
