Description
The Old House is an 18th-century house located in Englefield Green. It is constructed of red brick and features a parapet with a hipped plain tiled roof, along with two stacks at the rear. The building has two storeys and an attic. There is a shallow central projection that includes a 20th-century splay-sided porch, with a 12-pane sash window on each side. To the left of the porch, there is one French window, and to the right, there are two French windows. The first floor has six 12-pane sash windows, each with stucco architraves and hood moulds. In the attic, there are four 2-light, 6-pane casements with flat tops. There is a later wing set back on the south end of the rectangular plan, which has a hipped tiled roof and a single stack. The ground floor of this wing has a door and 6-pane sash windows, with similar windows on the first floor, and the walls are finished in stucco.
