Description

The orangery in the garden of No 12 'Malmsey' is a structure from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is made of stucco and features a 20th-century glass roof. The building has a rectangular plan and is flanked by six Roman Doric pilasters on either side of five sash windows set in reveals. An entablature with triglyphs and guttae runs along the top, and there is a blocking course that rises to a panelled pediment above the central three bays. Each side elevation has four pilasters and central French windows.
