Description

Ye Old Forge is a building from the 17th century or earlier, located on the north side of West Street. The ground floor has been refronted with stucco, while the upper part is covered with tiles. It has a tiled roof and is two stories tall with three windows. Most of the windows are modern, except for one early 19th century casement window at the south-east end of the ground floor, which features pointed Gothic panes. Adjacent to this window is a shed that is still in use as a forge.
