Description

This is an early 19th century villa of two storeys and three windows, with a lower, set-back bay to the right. The roof is low-pitched and slated, with deep eaves. The exterior is stuccoed with incised lines. It has sash windows with glazing bars. Later additions include canted bays on the ground floor, which flank a six-panel door with a patterned oblong fanlight above, set within a panelled reveal. A cornice cap extends to become the abaci of pilasters, supporting a bracketed cornice hood. The building forms part of a group with numbers 18A, 20, 24, 26 (including a coach house), 28 Upper West Street and numbers 24 and 24A West Street.
