Entrance Wall, Stable Block And Gate Piers 50 Yards South West Of Tadworth Court

The entrance wall, stable block, and gate piers located 50 yards southwest of Tadworth Court date back to around 1700. The stable block is constructed of brown brick with red brick dressings and features a hipped slate roof with a southeast stack. It has two storeys and an attic under an end dormer, with a two-bay end facade. The building includes casement windows above a moulded brick band, while modern doors have been inserted into partially blocked arches below. The courtyard facade consists of four bays with a pedimented break, end pilaster piers, and a cornice. The segmental window surrounds have keystones, and only the central first-floor windows are open. A clock is situated in the pediment above. The entrance wall is approximately 10 feet high, with square piers that rise to about 12 feet. This structure has group value with Tadworth Court.
