Description
Millfield is a house dating from 1911, designed by Sir Guy Dawber in a Neo-Georgian style. It is constructed of brown brick with red brick dressings, topped with a hipped roof covered in plain tiles, and tall stacks on the end wings. The house is two storeys high with an attic space, featuring flat weatherboard dormers. The front facade has five bays, with the central and end bays projecting. It incorporates 3-light leaded casement windows, including circular windows on the interior wall of the end bays. A central panelled and part-glazed door, with margin lights, is set under a copper-covered shell hood supported by brackets. To the left of the main house is a single-storey double garage wing. A return wall, approximately 10 feet high and 30 feet long, faces the main facade opposite the garage wing.
