Description

This is a horse trough with a pump located at the entrance to No 19 (Little Garratts) in Banstead, likely dating from the mid-19th century. The trough is made of cast iron and features end stones. It has a rectangular shape and is riveted. The pump has a cylindrical, ringed shaft and a fluted head with a spout that overhangs the trough. However, the head of the pump has been removed, and the handle is broken off.
