Description
The barn at Chantesleur Farm, dating from the 17th century, is a three-bay structure with an additional two-bay floored-over cartshed and an outshut at the rear. It features a timber frame with red brick infilling in the lower part of the central bay and a stone base. The remainder of the barn is weatherboarded. The gabled roof is covered with Horsham slabs, although part of it has been replaced with tiles on the north side. The roof structure includes clasped purlins and a curved windbrace, while the corner posts are jowled. There are also a series of long carpenter's assembly marks present.
