Description
This is a barn, likely from the 15th century, located about 25 metres west of Chelsbourne. It has a timber frame and is clad in weatherboard, topped with a plain tiled roof. The barn features a high base made of ragstone and red brick laid in English bond. It has a half-hipped roof with a hipped mid-storey supported by posts and includes three wooden casements. There are two single-storey additions from the 20th century on the southwest side. The barn is aisled, with passing braces and jowled upright posts resting on timber and brick padstones. It also has curved tension braces connecting to the beam and lap of the wall plate, as well as a mid rail on the end elevation.
