Description

Numbers 18 and 20 on The Borough in Brockham are two cottages that likely date from the 17th century. They are two storeys tall with an attic in the gables and feature two windows. The cottages are constructed of red brick, with the first floor of No 18 being tile hung. Each cottage has a gable, with No 18 facing south and No 20 facing east. They have tiled roofs and casement windows. There is a chimney breast at the back; No 18 was once a pub, while No 20 was used as a granary, evidenced by a bricked-up door or window on the first floor. A photograph of the cottages is available in the National Monuments Record.
