Description

Vine Cottage is a 17th-century timber-framed house. The west wall displays the original timber frame with red brick infilling. The front of the house has been rebuilt on the ground floor with red brick and is tile-hung above. The roof is tiled, with a hip at the western end, and has an outshot section with a gable in the centre. A large chimney stack is located to the west of the centre of the house. The cottage is two storeys high and has three windows on each floor, with a small window above and five below. Photographs are held in the National Monument Record.
