Description
Surrey House is a 16th century or possibly earlier L-shaped timber-framed house located in Brockham Green. The front wing has been rebuilt, featuring a ground floor made of painted brick and tile-hung above. The timber-framing with whitewashed brick infilling is visible on the south wall of the west wing. The south end of the front wing includes a two-storey timbered porch, which is no longer used as an entrance, topped with a gable. The house has a tiled roof and modern windows, with two modern bays added to the front on the ground floor. A chimney breast is situated at the north end of the building. The house has two storeys and three windows. There is a photograph of the house in the National Monuments Record.
