Description

Kings Arms Lodge is a house, formerly a public house and hotel, dating to the 17th century. It was extended in the 1930s. The building is timber framed, with a whitewashed render finish on a brick plinth. The upper part is tile hung, and the roof is tiled. The building has a prominent cross wing to the right. It features multiple stacks, some of which have been rebuilt, on the ridge and at the rear. The left-hand gable end has a leaded casement window on the first floor, and a four-light window below. The centre range has two windows on each floor. There are four-light windows to the ground floor centre and two to the right, all with canopies. A half-glazed door is located to the left of centre, and a blocked door is found to the right, at the junction with the cross wing. A pentice is present to the right. The interior retains some original framing, although much of it is imitation.
