Description
The gateway and wall to the Old Cloth Hall, now known as Laura Ashley's, date from the early 17th century. The structure features a stone arch with an oak lintel at the rear, which is sheltered by a tiled hood. The gateway has a four-centred arch and is fitted with iron gates. To the left, there is a brick wall that stands approximately 2 meters high and extends back for about 8 meters. This gateway and wall previously provided access to the stable yard of Abbot's Hospital.
