Description

The Brew House is a brew house that has been converted into a store. It dates from around 1700 and has been altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building is constructed of red and brown brick and features a plain tiled roof. It has a rectangular plan and stands two storeys tall. The main entrance is located at the north end, featuring a central door flanked by margin lights. There is a large flat-roofed portico supported by panelled angle piers and two Doric columns, which have a pulvinated frieze and a modillioned cornice above. On the right-hand return front (west), there is a large fixed window to the right and a leaded casement window with sprung catches to the ground floor right. A three-quarter glazed and panelled door is situated to the left on the first floor. The building is included for its group value.
