Description
The brewhouse, now used for storage, dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of brick with an old tile hipped roof. It stands two storeys high. The east front features a central six-panelled door with a semicircular head set in a brick surround. The west front is symmetrical, with two wooden plank loading doors on the first floor. The ground floor has a central former door that has been replaced with a new window, which has lozenge pattern glazing bars. A similar window is found on the south front. There is an adjoining wall to the north, approximately 6 metres long, which is earlier, likely from around 1600. This wall features early brickwork in English bond and has four bee holes on the west side, with incised bricks forming pointed heads. The brewhouse and wall are included for their group value.
