Description
Tarbay Farmhouse, now a house, was originally built in the late 16th century and subsequently altered in the 19th century and extended in the 20th century. It is a timber-frame building with painted render infill and has old tile gabled roofs. The original rectangular plan comprised four framed bays, and it now has a double-depth plan with a large extension on the east side. The house is two storeys high and has a chimney on the ridge. There are 20th-century casement windows, some of which are leaded. The west front, which serves as the entrance front, is irregular. A one-bay gable is situated to the right of centre, featuring a two-light window on each floor. A single two-light window is present on the first floor of the right-hand section. An enclosed entrance porch with a gabled roof and a 20th-century half-glazed door is located on the left. An interior inspection was not possible at the time of survey.
