Description
The White House is a farmhouse, originally known as Broom Farmhouse, built in the late 17th century and altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. It features painted brickwork and an old tile hipped roof with a rectangular plan and two storeys. The building has three chimneys topped with small clay pots, a projecting plinth, and a plat band above part of the structure, along with dentilled eaves. The windows are a mix of 19th and 20th century casements with irregular placement. On the north front, there are two 2-light windows on the first floor with a single-light window between them. To the right of the centre is a 19th century gabled entrance porch that has a plank door. To the left of the entrance is a 3-light window, and to the right is a 2-light window.
