Description
This barn, located 18 yards southeast of White Lane Farm House, dates back to 1783 as indicated on a beam inside. It has been extended and restored in the 20th century. The structure is timber framed, set on a whitewashed and painted rubble plinth with brick dressings. It features tarred weatherboard cladding and a hipped plain tiled roof. The barn is rectangular with five framed bays and has central opposing entrances, one of which is located under a hipped roof projection on the west side.
Inside, the barn has been re-roofed and originally had clasped purlins. There is also an "eyebrow" dormer as part of the 20th-century extension. This barn is included in the listing for its group value.
